About
Sue Simone is a strategic storyteller, media producer, educator and partnership leader dedicated to connecting people, innovative ideas and institutions to create lasting community impact. Over two decades in entertainment and digital media, she led business development, marketing, and production services for artists, music labels and major studios—driving multimillion-dollar initiatives and global campaigns across film, television, and interactive platforms. Her work spans collaborations with many independent labels, including the Grateful Dead, Tommy Boy, Warner Bros. and Universal Music Group, and cultural projects for the Museum of Tolerance and Carl Sagan’s Cosmos series with Ann Druyan and Neil deGrasse Tyson—blending science, storytelling, and public engagement. She transitioned into public-private partnership consulting, served as Chief Strategist for the San Diego Nonprofit Association and spent several years as a California credentialed educator and an end-of-life doula. Ignited Voices documentaries and events continue to fuel her passionate mission to elevate collaborative leadership—demonstrating how communities, when united, can shape more just and equitable futures. She also loves spending quality time with friends, involvement in social justice projects, attending concerts, bike riding, swimming, dancing and spreading joy wherever she can.
